ERP Project Rescue & Recovery
INDEPENDENT ERP RECOVERY ASSESSMENT & LEADERSHIP
When an ERP project loses control, clarity comes first.
Delays, overruns, architectural conflicts and uncertain readiness can threaten major ERP investments. More developers, a new integrator or postponed go-live may not solve the underlying problem. We independently assess troubled ERP programs and, where justified, lead recovery.
Not every project should be rescued at any cost.
Problems may originate in architecture, requirements, supplier work, client readiness or changed circumstances. Some programs need new governance; others need new architecture or delivery models; some should stop. We do not promise rescue regardless of facts.
When This Service Is Relevant
Time and budget are no longer controlled
Deadlines slip and real progress is unclear.
Development proceeds, but the business is not ready
Processes, data or users are insufficiently validated.
The client and integrator have lost alignment
Conflicts concern scope, requirements, quality or acceptance.
Architecture is inconsistent
Customizations and isolated decisions undermine overall integrity.
Go-live is at risk
Leadership lacks dependable readiness evidence.
Leadership must decide whether to continue investing
Sunk costs alone do not justify additional investment.
01 / Recovery Assessment
First, establish the actual state of the project.
What We Assess
**Objectives and scope.** Original goals, changing requirements and obligations.
**Actual solution readiness.** Completed, partial and untested processes.
**Functional architecture.** Accounting, integrations, customizations and major choices.
**Delivery organization.** Roles, authority, supplier capability and governance.
**Business readiness.** Data, users, testing and operational change.
**Budget and timeline.** Remaining scope, major uncertainties and realistic plans.
What You Receive
A structured assessment of condition, root problems, risks and options; where contracted, a recovery plan with priorities, dependencies, milestones and enabling conditions. Verified evidence is distinguished from assumptions.
Possible Recommendations
Recover the Existing Project
If architecture is viable and governance or planning can be restored.
Revisit Architecture or Scope
If design complexity or gaps are material.
Change the Delivery Model
If roles, authority or supplier coordination must change.
Revise Transition Strategy
If a phased deployment is safer than a single cutover.
Stop or Restart
If continuation is uneconomic or technically unjustified. Our recommendation is independent of further implementation sales.
02 / Recovery Leadership
Lead the recovery once there is a viable plan.
We may reset governance, priorities, architecture, vendor coordination, change control, business testing, production transition and stabilization under a separately agreed scope.
Accountability Model
We can lead independently on the client's side or contract for a defined delivery portion. Authority must match accountability.
Establish Causes, Not Scapegoats.
We do not automatically blame the integrator or assume the client is correct. Preserve valuable work and capable participants when possible.
Scope and Conditions
Historical defects and supplier obligations do not automatically transfer to us. Recovery needs access, cooperation and relevant authority. New discoveries may require revised scope and cost. Where controlled recovery is impossible, we say so.
How Engagements Begin
Generally with a paid, individually scoped Recovery Assessment. The client may implement recommendations independently or commission a separate recovery engagement; there is no obligation to continue.
